It's the return of the Brattleboro Sunrise Rotary Trivia Night! This month's nonprofit partner is Windham Child Care Association.
You can learn more about the organization at http://www.windhamchildcare.org/.
Founded as Vermont’s first child care resource and referral agency in 1981, Windham Child Care Association began as a loose affiliation of child care providers. Since that time, the organization has seen tremendous success in terms of its organizational capacity and community impact. From a one-person office in a converted barn, the staff now includes seventeen trained and capable staff and is overseen by a eight member board of directors. It is an integral part of the community’s fabric of human service agencies and non-profit sector.
Windham Child Care Association is the region's number one community child care support organization. The organization administers a number of programs and servies for children, families, and early childhood educators to ensure access to high-quality child care is available to all children in Windham County. These include our Professional Development Program for Early Childhood Educators, the Child Care Referral & Financial Assistance Programs and the Child and Adult Care Food Assistance Program. In addition, the organization has grown to include administration of a licensed child care program, Sprouts Early Learning Center, a bookmobile program, the Early Learning Express, and the United Way Fund for Quality Early Education.
