GUEST SPEAKER: Cindy Jerome  Director of the Holten Home and now Bradley House.
Big News that the Holten Home and Bradley House have now merged.  Holton home recently underwent large scale, several million $$$ in upgrades and updating of facility under the direction of Cindy Jerome.  Now she is focused primarily on updating the the Bradley House with an anticipated expense of around $4 million.  Improves include but not limited to, more suites, reduce shared bathroom facilities, increase dining areas, and overall updating of facility.  Cindy indicated that the fast growing population is 75 years and up.  Folks looking for the kind of care they provide are typically before skilled nursing needs but more care than living independently.  This has become their niche and there is a very large demand for these services.  The upgrades at the Bradley House are expected to provide better facilities to accommodate the increasing demand.  Jerry added that these facility have a lot of history in the Brattleboro community and are providing the ability for folks who love and have lived in Brattleboro for many years to continue living a similar lifestyle near friends and family.
