Josh Traeger chairing (President Jim is out sick)

    • 50th anniversary of Earth Day
    • 25% reduction in emissions over the last 30 days
  • Birthdays: Erin—“BEST zoom rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ ever!”
  • Announcements:
    • Sadie: Next Overflow Dinner May 14th for emergency housing at Quality Inn, drop-off on bench outside main entrance
    • Mona: still need storage containers for Overflow Dinner
    • Justin has offered paper plates for Overflow Dinner. Tristam will bring them to Quality Inn with main course.
    • Debra: Needs 6 bags of mulch (Jon has it)
    • Tristam: Rotary District can apply for global grants for COVID-19. What can the two clubs do together? (Must include supplies and nursing homes, plus other ideas) Who wants to be involved in discussion of local funded efforts? (Erin, Sadie, Josh T. and Josh G.)
    • Sadie: Scholarships—don’t know how much $ we have. May give out later in summer.
  • Brags:
    • Val: Senior Solutions—over 35 new COVID volunteers (grocery shopping, prescription pick-ups, phone calls)
    • Jon: Aleska turned 15. Family had planned a trip to Miami, so instead they threw a Miami-themed party for her (ala Miami Vice) Jon took her driving in parking lots, and she had her ears pierced at home
    • Josh G: Happy 16th Birthday to his daughter Madeleine, lemon meringue pie to celebrate!
    • Will: Daughter has decided to go ahead with wedding and marry on May 30th in a small family wedding here
    • Tristam: For the MSNBC phenomenal staff and their informed reporting
    • Justin: Fro the Dept of Labor and how effectively they have staffed up and for everyone working in social services
    • Debra: Eva is doing great. For “garden goddess” Mona and her big red truck. Dan has kept working, so they have been keeping separate and being creative in their connection.
    • Erin: For BAMA Conversation Corps (connecting Brattleboro Housing Partnership senior residents living alone + BUHS students) and for BAMA Garden Corps working in neighborhoods to create “Help Yourself” Solidarity Gardens. Both programs are just getting up and going.
    • Josh T.: Post what you’re doing in the community. Think about someone and reach out.

Will is greeter for next week.
